HB&M helps Viance bring new life
to wood

Ecolife^® – the first new product of Viance LLC, a joint venture between HB&M client Chemical Specialties, Inc. (a subsidiary of Rockwood Holdings, Inc.) and Rohm & Hass – is a new-generation wood preservative. Ecolife uses proprietary 100% organic stabilizers to protect wood from weathering, decay and termites, providing long-term natural beauty with less maintenance.

HB&M helped launch Ecolife with an integrated campaign of public relations, print and radio advertising for consumer awareness, and POS and launch materials directed at lumber distributors, mass retailers and contractors. A key sales tool is an Ecolife "Demo Kit" for contractors to help them introduce the product to homeowners. The kit features a hands-on, real-time demonstration of how Ecolife stabilized wood resists water penetration, plus a flipchart, sales brochure, and FAQ sheet.
